Festival Grounds Setup
Work Area Details
Setup tables, chairs, tents, games, signs, cones (and other stuff we haven’t fully planned yet) around the campus. There’s no age discrimination here – if you can carry a minimum of one folding chair at a time, you’re qualified!
We’ll meet in the main (south) parking lot at 6:00pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. All volunteers will receive group emails and texts from the Chairperson to coordinate before “setup night”.

Stage & Talent Support
Work Area Details
Help us host our live musical performers each night of the festival. Volunteers in this area will welcome the bands and DJ when they arrive, assist with setup needs, and make sure everything runs smoothly during the show. These are key roles that keep the evening on track and ensure our performers feel supported.

Stage Manager – Serves as the primary point of contact for the band or DJ during setup and performance. Assists with power access, stage logistics, and timing cues. Monitors weather and communicates with the Festival Chairman throughout the night. Prior experience in theater tech, live sound, or stage management is strongly preferred.

Talent Liaison – Greets the talent upon arrival, helps with parking and load-in, ensures they get complimentary food and beverages, and checks in on them between sets. During performances, this role can assist with errands or other support needs on-site.

Safety Patrol
Work Area Details
Serve as a discreet, plain-clothed observer during peak evening hours to help ensure a safe and smooth-running festival. Safety Patrol members will quietly circulate through key areas (Teen Zone, Casino, Indoor Dining Room, Band Audience) and report any concerns or suspicious activity directly to the Festival Chairman and/or lead Police Officer.
This role is not acting as security — this is a volunteer observer role only. No confrontation, no identification as staff or security. You’ll receive a subtle “ID badge” for internal and Police awareness, and a walkie-talkie or phone contact list for reporting.

Waste Management
Work Area Details
It’s hard to make it sound glamorous, but it’s actually not that bad of a job. The gist of it is…walk around campus and look at trash cans. If they’re full, you tie up the bag, put in a new bag, and throw the full one away in the dumpster. If you spot trash on the ground, it would be swell if you could pick it up too. PRO TIP: Wear gloves.
If you’re a socialite and/or don’t like being tied down to one area for areas, this is the perfect role.
