Work Area Details

This is a brand new addition to the Festival, and a sort of experiment.  In the post-pandemic and post-campus construction era, experiences to maintain interest of teens and tweens has been diminished.  We’re creating an exclusive area in the front yard of the school – completely isolated from the rest of the Festival (and their lame parents) – with an assortment of (hopefully) attention-keeping activities and goodies.

We’ll have a live DJ on the front porch of the school, giant inflatable obstacle courses and slides, oversized yard games, cornhole, tables and chairs for hanging out, and the Snack Trailer with all the sugar they could ever want.  Our young guests whose parents pre-order a Premium Access Wristband will have unlimited access to the inflatables, a free bag of popcorn, and discounts on the other snacks.  Dancing, eating and drinking, and safely loitering will be free for any teen or tween.

We need adults to monitor each inflatable attraction (for liability, and to check for wristbands), hand out wristbands to guests with valid electronic receipts on their phone, and to generally observe the crowd to ensure overall safety. We will have a uniformed police officer stationed in the Teen Zone at all times, but we need volunteers to be additional eyes and ears, and to “strongly discourage” adults from loitering or lingering in the area for…reasons.
